Why all this Jed Stuff

I have, so far, only been able to find the four articles I’ll be publishing today and tomorrow.

Jed McKenna has a couple books - WiseFoolPress which you can check out. I have one more article directory to check through.

Why? Who is this guy? It doesn’t matter who he is or who said what about him or how hot his reviews are or whether he’s pumping gas in Jersey and just goofing around with these articles and books.

I do this site for my entertainment, partly. This area has some spectacular nonsense. There’s a lot of “interest” in spirituality, enlightenment, bizarre “techniques” of change, growth and so on. People happily believe the most ridiculous things - to the point that some of these absurdities allow them to have a better life. Life can be hard. Maybe you really don’t want to wake up. Being awake isn’t for everybody.

I’m not sure I want to be awake. So there are all kind of fun (and funny) things here allowing some serious self-amusement, self-aggrandizement, self-actualization and other self-ish nonsense.

Jed isn’t real big on this self-realization thing. (that was irony, folks).

Most people getting into this kind of thing are looking for improvement - of their lives, their selves, their relationships, their jobs, their income. Then there are these rather strange people who are looking for something they can’t quite pin down but doesn’t seem to be exactly an improvement sort of thing.

Jed points at something. You need to decide about it. Doesn’t matter if he walks the walk or just talks the talk. He’s not the point. And it’s very very difficult to even point without misleading. Jed seems pretty good at it.

Stuff like his will always end up here in “General” and in “True Lies” - somebody once said something like “The truth that can be pointed to is not the truth.” (somebody once said any idiotic thing you can dream up) Still, True Lies could be hints at the way.

Not too many of you probably want to actually go that way, but somebody might.
