Home Remedies For Sinus Pain

By Brian Jones

Sinuses are part of the nasal airway and membrane system that creates mucus that filters the air that enters via the nose and into the lungs. Usually the nose and sinuses produce between a pint and quart of mucus secretions per day. When there is a heavy build up of allergies, air pollution or viral infections, the sinus can become irritated and cause discomfort in the nasal cavity sometimes referred to as sinusitis. The human body is always being attacked by external organisms that assault the body’’s immune system. The sinus is one of the first line of protection from such elements.

Sinus pain usually results from a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract or allergy-causing substances. Viral infections destroy the cells of the sinus walls and lead to irritation. When the lining becomes swollen then it blocks the nasal passage and decreases the sinuses ability to remove bacteria that enters through the nasal area. The bacteria then starts to multiply and intrude the lining of the sinus. This process leads to sinus infection and thus sinus pain. Any Sickness that is capable of breaking down the body’’s immune system can cause sinus pain, these include diabetes, leukemia and AIDS. These ailments diminish the level of security the body can provide against antibodies.

Sinus pain usually affect the nose but can also spread to the upper teeth, between the eyes, the ear, on your face or a succession of headaches in the temple. Sinus pain can also include nasal congestion, nasal airway obstruction and runny nose. Sinus pain can lead to frequent pain over the course of months and years. Sinus pain increases with heavy coughing, straining and lying on the back. Maxillary sinusitis is another symptom of sinus pain which causes discomfort across the cheekbone, around the upper teeth and sometimes around the eye, the pain and pressure can become worse when the head is placed upright and flexing forward. Maxillary sinusitis can also cause swelling of the cheekbone or cause it to become tender and red. It is related to nasal discharge. It is not uncommon for persons to also experience symptoms of fever.

Sinus pain can sometimes be treated by natural home-made remedies. When the symptoms persist such as pressure in the upper face accompanied by nasal discharge and congestion and ongoing bad breath then you should visit a specialist to prescribe drugs to clear the sinus. Prescribed drugs work by reopening the nasal passage, this cuts back on the stuffy nose which alleviates the pain and pressure in the sinus. However the medication does not always get rid of sinus infections immediately and can continue for a few months, known as chronic sinusitis. Chronic sinusitis can lead persons to feel pain across the bridge of the nose, as well as sore throat and bad breath. An untreated sinusitis pain can develop into a severe medical problem that can also lead to death.

Medication can Control IT Not Going To Cure Depression

By Steve smith

A ship’’s sailing along in calm waters with a following wind. The crew are very happy with the conditions, because they know their skills fall a bit short when it comes to some of the trickier manoeuvres in dealing with bad weather.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, a storm blows up. The crew doesn'’t have any idea of what to do and simply sail directly into the storm. Once in it, they can'’t see anything, so they lose their way, not having a clue how to set a proper bearing and stick to it.

Round and round they go within the storm, not knowing where they are, becoming sicker and sicker, and the ship more battered with every wave that hits. They try to do what they think is right, but nothing seems to work. Finally, totally exhausted, they collapse and let the storm do its worst. They manage to remain upright and finally the storm dies down.

Calm returns. Eventually the crew recovers and they sail the ship onwards, although by now it’’s a battered hulk. So the crew above, (the depressed people), realize they don'’t know how to take a ship through a storm, (a life crisis or a difficult situation). They haven'’t learned the skills. Once in the storm, (the depression), they don'’t know how to set a proper bearing, (work their way out of depression).

Once the storm’’s over, (life’’s circumstances change), they decide to learn the necessary skills, (balanced thinking styles, meeting basic needs, etc.).

And the equivalent of using drugs? Pouring oil on troubled waters, of course!

So Why Don'’t People Talk About Curing Depression Rather Than Controlling It?

The big drug companies are the main ones who fuel the debate over depression, because of their obvious vested interest. They know as well as anyone that drugs don'’t offer a cure for depression, but the further they can keep this under the table, the better for them.

Drugs can'’t cure the condition, they can only control the symptoms. The true cure can only happen when a depressed person learns the thought patterns and habits of those who don'’t suffer from depression. We ourselves have seen already that a treatment such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a highly successful method with a relapse rate many times lower than people have who rely on drugs alone.

That Statement about about the medication you can cure depression without drugs there is enough help and drugs free depression therapy is available that you do not need the risk of medication caused further demage that is already done enough.
